Services- CIS– Kazakhistan
Having its considerable extent of territory in CIS, Kazakhstan is considered as a rich and Industrial country in CIS. The commercial, industrial goods, pipes, machinery, food stuff and various kinds of other commodities are transported from B.Abbas to Kazakhstan daily.
The important cities and destinations for transporting in Kazakhstan are as follows:
۱)In the North and the East of Kazakhstan: Astana (Akmola – the capital of Khazakhstan), Almaty, Jambol (Taraz), Karaganda, Kamenogorsk, Chimkent.
۲)In the west of Kazakhstan: Aktau ( a port in Kazakhstan), Atyrau (Guryev), Kulsary, Aksay, Aktube (Aktubinsk), Batino, Tengiz, Uralsk.
Methods of transportation: Rail, Truck, Air, Sea, Multimodal
۱- Transportation by Rail: According to the map for achieving to the north and East of Kazakhstan, we should pass from Bandar Abbas/ Iran to Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Truck drivers may have some stops on the route of carriage and they should take a long bureaucracy for arranging the documentation and they need visa for passing the countries which they should pass through. But by Rail transportation, we can transport SOC containers directly or we can offload the goods from COC containers and reload them into the covered wagons.
For transporting to the west of Kazakhstan, we should continue to the edges of the Caspian sea after passing from Turkmenistan in order to transport the goods to the western cities at Kazakhstan.
۲-Transportation by Truck: we are able to transport COC containers such as 20’, ۴۰’, Open top and break bulk cargoes to the North, the East and the west of Kazakhstan with a fleet of ready trucks. We have transported various cargoes such as standard, over gauge and overweight goods via Bandar Abbas/ Iran to the different points in the east, the North and the West of Kazakhstan since 15 years ago up to now.
۳- Transportation by Sea: We have transported SOC containers or Palletized cargoes to Aktau by sea.
۴- Transportation by Air: There are 2 – ۳ flights per week from Tehran and Mashhad to Almaty and the commodities with various volumes and dimensions are transported.
Comparison of the two methods of transportation by rail and transportation by truck to Kazakhstan:
Transportation by Rail: it is economical, Transporting huge volume of goods and a low risk, for transporting SOC containers and break bulk cargoes. Transit time: 23 – ۲۷ days, the freight of carriage is about $130 to $150 per MT and for 20MT is about $3000.
Transportation by Truck:
The freight of carriage is about $6500 per 20MT, transporting SOC and COC containers and break bulk cargoes. Transit time: 18 – ۲۱ days
